School extension plans on show
Members of the public will have another opportunity to review the plans for the major new extension at Ysgol Bro Gwaun when they go on display at Fishguard library shortly.
They will be on show from Saturday, 5th March, to Saturday, 12th March.
The plans are currently under consideration by Pembrokeshire County Council’s planning department and are due to be considered by the Authority’s Planning and Rights of Way Committee later this month.
The Director for Children and Schools, Kate Evan-Hughes, and other Council officers will be available at the library on Monday, 7th March, from 2 pm to 4 pm to answer questions and listen to feedback.
Cabinet Member for Education and Safeguarding, Councillor Sue Perkins said: “This is an exciting development for Fishguard and the surrounding area and is further evidence of the Council’s investment in education in Pembrokeshire.”
Local County Councillor Pat Davies said: “Many consultations have taken place with the governing body of Bro Gwaun and the wider community.
“Changes in education will take place in Bro Gwaun but the refurbishment and new build will create a modern learning experience for both pupils and staff.”
The project is being jointly funded by Pembrokeshire County Council and Welsh Government as part of the 21st Century Schools programme.
