Traders Launch Loyalty Card

Traders in Haverfordwest are launching a Loyalty Card to help encourage local shopping. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The scheme is the result of a partnership between Haverfordwest Business Circle and Pembrokeshire County Council. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Over 40 members of the Business Circle – many of them independent traders – have signed up to the initiative. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Every time a customer spends more than £10 in a single transaction at a participating outlet, they receive a stamp on a card. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Once they have collected ten stamps they are entitled to 10 per cent off in any of the participating stores. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economy and Communities, Keith Lewis, said he hoped shoppers would support the scheme. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“If everyone gets behind the Loyalty Card idea, it would be a great boost not only for local traders but for the town itself” Councillor Lewis added. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The scheme will be launched on Wednesday, 1st June, from when loyalty cards will be available from participating stores.
