Museum Open Days

Two more Open Days are planned at the Cynon Valley Museum and Gallery during the next few months. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

All Open Days are FREE, with doors open from 11am until 3pm. The dates are as follows: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Saturday, February 27 ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Saturday, March 26 ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Cynon Valley Museum Open Days, organised by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and the Cynon Valley Museum Trust, are aimed at all ages and will offer visitors the chance to discover what life was like in the County Borough in bygone years. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Take a nostalgic stroll among all the exhibits, including an old-fashioned corner shop – complete with its bell above the front door to tell the shopkeeper that customers have arrived! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Members of the Cynon Valley Museum Trust will also be on hand to discuss the future development of the museum and talk to potential volunteers. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
