One of the two public car parks at Caswell Bay will be closed on Thursday March 31 for essential resurfacing works. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Swansea Council has arranged for the work to be carried out on the car park located on the right-hand side of Caswell Road as you drive towards Caswell Bay from the Langland Bay direction. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Alternative car parking will still be available nearby at the Caswell Road car park adjacent to the chalet park as seen on the map picture below. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Traders in the area have been informed. Council workers will also be available at the car park tomorrow to redirect motorists and answer questions. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

A Swansea Council spokesperson said: “The resurfacing work will only take a day to finish. The car park will be back open as normal from Friday April 1, but we’ll be returning there at a later date to carry out some relining work. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“We apologise for any inconvenience the work may cause, but the work will lead to a greatly improved car park for visitors and local people. We would urge people visiting the area on Thursday March 31 to use alternative car parking instead because resurfacing work will start at about 8am.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
