Date Set For 2017 Admiral Swansea Bay 10k
Fitness fanatics, charity fundraisers and New Year’s resolution makers can set a date in their calendars for 2017.
Swansea Council has confirmed that the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k will be returning to the city on Sunday September 24.
First introduced in 1981, the 10k has attracted many hundreds of thousands of competitors of all ages and fitness levels over the years.
Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “We’re pleased to have Admiral on board for another three years and to announce the date of next year’s Admiral Swansea Bay 10k, with early bird entry fees being frozen at last year’s prices until January 15.”
Geraint Jones, Chief Financial Officer at Admiral, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k race for another three years.
“Supporting events in the communities in which we’re based is very important to Admiral, and to have the opportunity to be involved in an event which grows each year is something we’re proud of. We have sponsored the 10k for the last ten years, and this year over 150 Admiral staff entered the race, which really highlights its popularity within the company.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with Swansea Council and seeing the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k go from strength to strength.”
