The festive Swansea Council attraction will open at Museum Park on the evening of Friday November 18, running until Sunday January 8. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Waterfront Winterland will again feature a big wheel, Santa’s grotto, a funfair and two ice rinks – the main Admiral rink and a smaller rink for children. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

It’s among many Christmas events the council has organised. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The city centre’s Christmas lights switch-on has been confirmed for the evening of Thursday November 10 at the request of city centre businesses to ensure as many traders as possible benefit. Details of the event to accompany the lights switch-on will be announced over coming weeks once they’re finalised. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

A real Christmas tree will also be returning to the Kingsway end of Princess Way. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “Waterfront Winterland has been hugely successful since being first introduced in Swansea a number of years ago, so we’re delighted to announce its return for the 2016 Christmas season. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Along with the other events we’re organising for the build-up to Christmas, the attraction will help generate a terrific, family-friendly atmosphere as Swansea counts down to the end of the year.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
