Runners are being urged to get their entries in before the closing date of August 31. The event has reached capacity prior to the closing date for the last eight years so register quickly as spaces are filling up fast. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Swansea Council is behind the race, which is being sponsored by Admiral for the tenth consecutive year. The race will take place along Swansea Bay on Sunday September 18. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Admiral Swansea Bay 10k, one of the most popular races in the running calendar, also stages the Welsh 10k Championships as part of the event. Almost 5,000 people are expected to take part this year. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Councillor Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “The Admiral Swansea Bay 10k is one of the best races of its kind in the UK. It’s always one of the highlights of our Enjoy Swansea events programme that won’t just attract thousands of participants – it will also attract many thousands of spectators, boost local traders and further raise Swansea’s profile as a leading city of sport. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“If you’re looking to beat your personal best, conquer a fitness challenge or raise money for charity, the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k is the perfect event for you to do so. Anyone who hasn’t submitted their forms yet needs to do so very quickly to make sure they’re able to take part on the day. The flat, fast and scenic route is absolutely fantastic.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Each Admiral Swansea Bay 10k entrant will receive a technical t-shirt and all finishers will receive a medal. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
