More Artists Soon Being Announced For Club MTV Concert

Two more major acts taking part in the Club MTV concert in Swansea next month are being announced later this week. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The acts will join Professor Green, Jonas Blue and Redlight at the Singleton Park concert on Saturday September 24. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Swansea Council has worked closely with MTV and the Welsh Government to bring the concert to the city. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The latest confirmed acts are being announced on Wednesday August 17. One has topped the UK album chart, with the other topping the UK singles chart during the last year. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Tickets for the concert, priced at just £15 plus a £1.50 booking fee, can be purchased on either the Ticketmaster website at www.ticketmaster.co.uk or from Derricks Music on Oxford Street. The concert has a capacity for 20,000 people. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Some of Professor Green’s biggest hits include Read All About It, featuring Emile Sandé; I Need You Tonight, featuring Ed Drewett; and Just Be Good To Green, featuring Lily Allen. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

London-based music producer Jonas Blue’s hits include Fast Car, featuring Dakota, which reached number two in the UK singles chart; as well as Perfect Strangers, featuring JP Cooper, which also reached number two in the UK singles chart. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Bristol DJ Redlight is a huge underground favourite, whose hits include Switch it Off, Get Out Of My Head and Lost In Your Love. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Club MTV residents and rising stars of the UK’s EDM scene, R3WIRE and Varski, have also been confirmed for the Singleton Park concert. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
