Swansea residents are being urged to vote this Thursday in the National Assembly for Wales and Police and Crime Commissioner elections.
172,813 Swansea residents are eligible to vote in the elections which take place on May 5 and will be marking their choices on three ballot papers.
They have the chance to vote for their choice of Assembly Member (AM) for Swansea East, Swansea West, or Gower constituency.
They can also vote on a separate ballot paper for South Wales West regional AMs along with voters in Aberavon, Neath, Bridgend, and Ogmore.
And the elections for the South Wales Police region police and crime commissioners (PCCs) are also taking place on the 5th May 2016.
Police and crime commissioners are elected to hold their police force to account for delivering the kind of policing the public want to see. Their aim is to cut crime and to ensure police forces are effective.
Huw Evans, Head of Democratic Services, said: “Swansea Council’s election team, is working hard to help ensure everything goes smoothly on election day, May 5, and in the counts which follow.
“Everything people need to know, from candidates standing to the location of polling stations and how to vote, is on our website at www.swansea.gov.uk/elections ”
Around 30,000 Swansea residents have chosen to vote by post and have until 10pm on May 5 to return their postal votes.
Polling stations for those voting in person are open from 7am to 10pm on May 5.
Eligible voters have been sent polling cards but they do not have to take them to polling stations on the day, they are just for information.
If you cannot find your card you may still be able to vote providing you are registered by popping along to your local polling station and giving your name and address.
