Located in the impressive Great Hall at Swansea University’s new £450 million science and innovation Bay Campus on Fabian Way, the Digital Marketing Suite will be the showcase for the region and houses a hi-tech combination of state of the art video conferencing and audio visual equipment and impressive nine metre square video wall experience, utilising iPad technology, allied to the latest virtual 3D mapping software. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The facility will be used to promote the region’s inward investment offer to potential developers and investors. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

An impressive number of multinational companies have already made significant investments here and, as a region we will make the most of our opportunities and our potential to attract and secure more investment. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Marketing Suite will be an asset for the whole region to utilise and public and private sector companies will be able to hire the suite and use the technology for their own purposes, be it a presentation, product launch or even remote interviewing. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Sir Terry Matthews, Chair of the Swansea Bay City Region Board, said: “The high tech fitting out of the marketing suite, will combine to create a real impact on visitors about our innovation, confidence and ambition as a region. Because this is a digital suite we can also use the power of networks to quite literally take our message to all parts of the region, Wales and the world. Geography is no barrier to success in the global economy and the configuration of the workplace of the future in a digital machine age. I would encourage public and private sector organisations across the region and beyond to use this facility and to explore its creative and technical capabilities.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Edwina Hart, Minister for Economy, Science and Transport, said: “I am very pleased to open this excellent new facility for the Swansea Bay City Region. This suite will play a crucial role in showcasing the region to investors and highlighting its many strengths and opportunities. It will also be of great benefit to existing companies in the region looking to promote and expand their business. This is the another significant development from Sir Terry Matthews and the City Region Board and the progress being made in delivering their vision for the City Region is clear for all to see.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Professor Richard B Davies, Swansea University Vice-Chancellor, added: “Swansea University is a fully engaged and enthusiastic member of the exciting Swansea Bay City Region, a partnership committed to driving economic prosperity for the area. Our new £450m science and innovation Bay Campus is a recognised and large-scale example of how universities and the private sector can work more effectively together, so I am delighted that the City Region will have a presence in the iconic Great Hall.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Swansea Bay City Region brings together business, local government and a range of other partners, working to a common goal of creating economic prosperity for the people who live and work in the region. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
