Council seeking new company to run historical manor

Torfaen council will be tendering for a new company to manage the building and grounds at Llanyrafon Manor, including establishing a new coffee shop, from April.
Currently this service is provided by Raspberry Catering which will cease trading at the Manor on 31 March so that the owners can concentrate on expanding the catering side of their business.
The Manor will operate a reduced service while the tendering process is under way, however, there will be no catering and the Manor will be closed on weekends.
However, the successful monthly food and craft market will continue on the last Sunday of every month during this time.
Sports development manager Stuart Lawrence said: “We apologise for any inconvenience in the short term, however, full service will resume as soon as possible.
“While we are sorry to see Raspberry Catering leaving, it offers a wonderful opportunity for another company to come in and take advantage of the Manor’s beautiful setting and hidden treasures.
“We will provide updates as soon as they are available.”
