Pontypool Spring Vintage Day takes place on Saturday 26 March from 12pm until 3pm in the town centre and indoor market. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

As well as stalls selling everything vintage there will be dress making workshops, vintage hair styling, and the chance to have a vintage photo shoot. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

To tie in with the Easter weekend, there will also an Easter Egg hunt for children, and Osbourne Lodge Nursey is organising an Easter bonnet competition and a parade which will march through the town at 1:30pm. Throughout the day there will be live music in the market, and the Salvation Army band and a Welsh bag piper will be playing in the town. There will also be rides and activities for children and vintage vehicles on display. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Councillor Lewis Jones, executive member for regeneration, said: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“We held our first vintage day last year which was a great success so we are back with an even bigger and better event. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“This year the town’s traders have really gotten behind the event and many of the activities have been organised by the traders themselves with support from the council. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“It promises to be a great day, and very different from the rest of the events we run during the year, so it will be great to see as many people as possible in the town, having a great time and supporting the traders.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
