Gwent Archives, in partnership with Gwent Wildlife Trust, invites you to discover wildlife past, present and future on the former Ebbw Vale Steelworks site. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Taking place on Wednesday 4th May, the morning session (10am- 12.30pm) will be held at Gwent Archives, on the former Ebbw Vale Steelworks site, with a talk and display looking at the history of wildlife in the county. This will be followed by a presentation by Gwent Wildlife Trust, outlining their exciting new project Furnace to Flowers. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The afternoon session (1.30pm – 3.30pm) offers a guided walk through the site (approx. 2 miles) to see the impact on the landscape the project has already made and what is planned for the future. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Tea and coffee will be available (£1) but please bring your own lunch. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

This is a free event but booking is essential. Contact Gwent Archives on 01495 353363 or email enquiries@gwentarchives.gov.uk ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
