Temporary Road Works On Snatchwood Road

There will be temporary road works in place on Snatchwood Road in Abersychan from Monday 25 April to allow pedestrian improvement work to be carried out. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The work includes creating a new pedestrian crossing and repositioning the existing bus stop, and is expected to take around three weeks. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Temporary traffic management will be in place for the duration of this period and while every effort will be taken to keep disruption to a minimum, some delays are to be expected. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The work is being funded as part of the Welsh Government’s Safe Routes in Communities scheme and aims to improve pedestrian links with local amenities. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
