Volunteers Sought To Mentor Young People

If you would like to make a difference to the lives of young people in Torfaen, we are seeking volunteers, aged 18+ who are willing to use some of their spare time to mentor care leavers. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Whatever your skills and experience, we are looking for reliable, trustworthy, energetic and enthusiastic individuals who can help enable a young person to reach their potential. This could include supporting them in their education, employment opportunities, independent living skills, health and wellbeing support and more. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Being a mentor can be a rewarding and enjoyable experience with the opportunity to learn a new skill and experience, access ongoing professional development and training and gain experience that can help you with job opportunities in the future. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
