Briefing Sessions To Be Held For Forthcoming Elections

The Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Returning Officer, Debbie Marles, is set to welcome all Councillors, and all potential future Councillors, to a series of Candidates and Agents briefing sessions for the forthcoming Local Government Elections in May 2017. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The sessions will be hosted by the Returning Officer, who will be providing a presentation that covers the election timetable and processes, nominations, electoral registration and absent voting arrangements. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

All sessions are open to current councillors and all potential candidates, and provide an excellent opportunity for those wishing to ask various questions relating to the poll. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

They will be held in the Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry, CF63 4RU on: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

  • Thursday 23 February 2017 2pm – 4pm (Committee Room 2, Civic Offices)
  • Thursday 23 February 2017 6.30pm – 8.30pm (Committee Room 1, Civic Offices)
  • Friday 03 March 2017 09:30am – 11:30am (Council Chamber, Civic Offices)
