Delay To Council Tax Payments

This article is old - Published: Sunday, Mar 20th, 2016

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is advising residents that some council tax payments will be collected later than usual in April. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Those residents who pay their council tax by direct debit on the first day of each month will have their payment collected eight days later than usual on 09 April. No other payments will be effected. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The delay in collecting payments is due to the late notification of the final Welsh Government budget settlement for the Vale of Glamorgan Council and the knock-on effect this had on setting council tax bills for 2016/17. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

From May 2016 all direct debit payments will be taken as usual. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
