Glamorgan Gem newspaper error

The Glamorgan Gem series of newspapers, which print issues covering Barry & Penarth, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, and areas of Bridgend, has today incorrectly attributed a column to the Leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Cllr Neil Moore. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr Moore writes a monthly column for the newspaper in which he updates Vale residents on key news from across the Council and provides an insight into his role as Leader. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

However, the column that appears in the 22 December editions of the newspaper was not written by Cllr Moore. It was penned by another prominent local politician, Ogmore MP Christopher Elmore, and wrongly printed under Cllr Moore’s name. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr Moore would like to make all Gem readers aware that the views attributed to him in today’s newspaper are not his. The newspaper’s editor will also be making this clear in the next edition. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Gem readers will be able to read Cllr Moore’s next column in the first week of January. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
