Let’s Talk Well-Being In The Vale
Join the big conversation about public services in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Under the banner of ‘Let’s Talk’, partner organisations from the public and voluntary sectors in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan are working together to find out more about what matters to residents and what affects their well-being. Views are being asked over coming months on a wide range of issues impacting on wellbeing to help inform the future delivery of services across the region.
A particular focus of the conversation is around care and support services as we know this will affect all of us at some point in our lives, whether it is ourselves or friends and family needing some help.
A new survey is being launched online, and with hard copies available, to get feedback on what services, advice and support are helpful to promoting people’s health and wellbeing and to help maintain independence.
Partner organisations are also looking to better understand any gaps in existing services, advice and support; and anything which people have found helpful in slowing or preventing problems.
Also of importance is understanding which groups and places in communities help people with their health, wellbeing and maintaining independence.
The survey is one element of a number of actions being taken across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan in response to the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014. The Act, which came into being in April 2016, is focused on improving the well-being of people who need care and support, helping carers who need support and transforming social services in Wales.
The information gathered from the survey responses will help inform what advice and support services will be provided in the future to improve well-being so please ensure you take part and give your views!
