Palmerston Primary School Shines In Recent Inspection
PALMERSTON Primary School shone in a recent inspection, as it rated as excellent in a host of departments.
The school was given the best possible mark in all but one category by inspectorate Estyn.
Teaching, learning experiences and leadership were among the 11 areas that received the highest praise, a fitting reward for the effort put in by pupils and staff.
“A double excellent result overall is a testament to the professional and dedicated team of staff and governors, wonderfully supportive parents and superb children at Palmerston Primary School,” said Acting Headteacher Katy Edwards.
“Palmerston is a unique school and therefore it is extremely rewarding to be acknowledged by Estyn for our caring and loving ethos and our highly inclusive environment, whereby our vulnerable learners are cherished by their peers.
“We will continue to strive to provide the very best education for all our learners and are particularly proud that the teaching within the school is recognised as being excellent.
“The quality of teaching will always be a priority for us here at Palmerston, as is the expertise and enthusiasm of the teachers and support staff, which is crucial in determining the success of all our children. In this environment where expectations are high and children really are at the heart of the school they are able to produce their best work.
“The Palmerston community really does live and breathe our mission statement that ‘Together we will succeed’!”
