Travellers Being Removed From Cliff Parade Car Park
On Friday 22 April, the rear of the Cliff Parade Car Park in Penarth was closed to the public following the unauthorised encampment of a number of caravans.
Despite being issued with letters requesting that they leave the car park, the occupants failed to do so. As a result the Vale of Glamorgan Council sought and was granted a court order, sanctioning removal of the travellers from the site.
This course of action is now underway and the car park will be vacated by this evening.
Once the site has been vacated, the Council will be able to bring in a team to clean up any mess that has been left and it is planned that the car park will be back to normal use during Wednesday morning.
