Vale Of Glamorgan Public Service Board Publish Draft Well-Being Assessment
Following a successful engagement campaign, and significant data-gathering, the Vale of Glamorgan Public Services Board (PSB) has published its draft Well-being Assessment.
The assessment considers the well-being of the Vale of Glamorgan as a whole, and presents a real opportunity to help the PSB know more about the communities and the people that shape the Vale.
Councillor Neil Moore, Chair of the Public Services Board, said: “This assessment is a valuable resource, one that enables partners across the public sector to work together to improve the well-being of our local communities – not only now, but also for future generations.”
The assessment has been informed by a wealth of data and engagement activities, including the ‘Let’s Talk about Well-being’ survey.
The assessment highlights a variety of areas that affect life in the Vale, many of which have been identified as positive: a diverse natural environment, increasing levels of tourism and lower crime levels than other areas in Wales are some of the strengths included in the assessment.
As a whole, the assessment looked at economic, environmental, social and cultural well-being.
The assessment has also identified some areas where improvements could be made. These include tackling inequalities and improving how the PSB engages with local communities. The PSB is already starting to consider what it can do to make a difference in these areas.
The PSB now wishes to find out what residents think about the draft assessment.
