Pedal power challenge to raise funds for RSPCA’s Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre

It won’t be an easy ride – but Chris Butler is up for the challenge!
Chris, who is RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre’s kennel and cattery supervisor, is preparing to undertake a 101 mile sponsored bike ride in June.
He will be taking part in the Yorkshire Ripon Revolution – which will see him cycling 101 miles which climbs more than 6,200 feet through Yorkshire – to raise funds for a charity close to his heart, the RSPCA.
Chris has been involved with the RSPCA for the past nine years and has chosen to raise funds RSPCA’s Bryn-y-Maen animal centre in Colwyn Bay.
Chris said: “I’ve been working at the centre over a year now and I witness on a daily basis how supportive the general public are of our work by either adopting animals, donating goods, volunteering with us or raising funds.
“The kindhearted public have really inspired me to jump on my bike and set myself a challenge in 2016 and raise some funds for the centre myself.”
On 26 June, Chris will be cycling around Yorkshire in the hope he can raise over £1,000 for the centre.
He said: “The RSPCA rely on generous donations from members of the public to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals. Even if you can just spare £1, it all goes towards changing an animal’s life.”
