He will appear before Llanelli Magistrates’ Courts this morning (Wednesday, March 1). ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The arrest and charge was made following a report of a serious assault at Island Place, Llanelli, at approximately 12.45am on Sunday, February 26. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The male victim remains in a critical condition. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Police are aware of four young males who witnessed the incident that have not yet come forward. They were seen leaving Shakers nightclub at the time of the attack and could hold vital information. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

They appear to be aged 18-21 years. One had short brown hair and was wearing a light-blue short-sleeved T-shirt and light-blue jeans. Another has light brown hair and beard. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt and jeans. The third potential witness had short dark-brown hair and was wearing a white long-sleeved T-shirt with navy blue arms and jeans. The fourth man was wearing a dark red long-sleeved top with jeans. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

A further three young males were seen leaving the area walking past Costa towards Island Place roundabout. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Detective Chief Inspector Ifan Charles said: “Although we have arrested and charged a man for this assault, speaking to all witnesses of the incident is still vitally important to the investigation. We would very much like to speak to these men to see if they can help us. These men are in no way suspected to have any involvement in the incident, however we are very keen to speak to them as it is highly likely they saw the assault happen and have not yet given an account to the police, I urge you to contact Llanelli CID on 101 immediately.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
