Two Local Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Assault And A Public Order Offence In Aberystwyth

Police are investigating two allegations of assault and a public order offence following incidents in Aberystwyth between midnight, 16th March and 2am March 2016. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A 20 year old male was assaulted by two males in Queens Road at approximately midnight. He currently remains in hospital receiving treatment. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Sometime between 1.30am and 1.45am a member of staff in the Angel Inn, Upper Great Darkgate Street was threatened by two men. During this time a 20 yr old male was assaulted outside the premises and treated at scene. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Following a number of enquiries two local males, aged 20 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of assault and public order. They have been released on bail pending further police enquiries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
