RSPCA Seek Witnesses As Cat Found Dead After Suspected Beating And Motorcycle Attack
RSPCA Cymru is urgently appealing for witnesses after reports of a Wrexham cat being beaten, and run over by a motor bike, until he lost his life.
The poor feline – named Jinxy – was found dead and sporting horrendous injuries, following a suspected incident on Glaslyn in the Acrefair area of the town.
Reports about the cat were made to the RSPCA on Friday 6 January, with the incident believed to have taken place two days earlier.
The RSPCA has been told that members of the public witnessed the cat being beaten, and run over by a motor bike-type vehicle, and are urging anyone who may have seen the incident in the local community to come forward.
He was found with tyre treads on the back of his body and tail, and is believed to have suffered a broken pelvis, damaged tail, popped testicle and a head injury.
Phil Lewis, RSPCA inspector, said:
“This poor cat has been subject to the most horrendous injuries, and it is unthinkable why anyone would put a defenceless animal through this experience deliberately.
“We don’t know the exact circumstances behind this incident, but have heard their may be local witnesses who saw what took place. We would urge them to come forward and contact the RSPCA.

In a joint statement, Jinxy’s family said:
“Jinxy was the most friendly cat imaginable, and everyone in the local community knew him. We are all so saddened by what has happened.
“We can’t imagine why somebody would do this on purpose – or if this were a non-deliberate act, why they wouldn’t report that the cat had been run over.
“We’d urge anyone with information to come forward, to help the RSPCA’s enquiries.”
