The Great ‘Catsby’: Meet Tuxie The 7kg Cat
Meet Tuxie – the cat who is the size of a small dog!
He is one of RSPCA’s Bryn-y-Maen animal centre’s newest residents – a very special one.
Tuxie – who has been named by centre staff due to this black and white Tuxedo like markings – was brought into the centre as a stray with an untreated flea infection.
He is currently under the care of a vet, and is recovering with medication to treat his skin.
Animal centre manager Vicky Williams said: “He is the largest cat in the cattery weighing in at 7kg.
“He such a lovely cat, he is so friendly and is very vocal he loves to chatter away to you.
“He is a bit heavy – and weighs in as our heaviest cat at the moment – but he is in fact not overweight, he is just a big cat!
“Most of our cats are about 3kg – so Tuxie is quite a bit bigger. He is the size of a small dog.
“He is doing really well in our care and his skin is getting better by the day thanks to the treatment he is receiving.
“Tuxie is a wonderful cat – and will make a loving family pet.”
