Two Kittens Found Abandoned In Llandeilo
RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after two kittens were found in a box in a park in Llandeilo.
The two black kittens – who were inside a cardboard chocolate box – were discovered by a passer-by and taken to a vets on Tuesday (25 October).
RSPCA inspector Holly Brown said: “These kittens must have been so frightened being left alone in this box, it was lucky they were found.
“They were taken to a vets, and found to be unharmed and healthy. They are around 12-weeks old and one is a boy and one is a girl.”
The kittens – who have been given the names ‘Nutella’ and ‘Mars’ – are not microchipped so we are not able to identify who they belong to.
RSPCA inspector Brown said: “The kittens are doing really well in foster care and are adorable.
“We’re urging anyone with any information to come forward and contact the RSPCA inspectorate information line on 0300 123 8018. Calls will be treated in confidence.”
If an owner is not found the kittens will be made available for rehoming.
In UK folklore, black cats can symbolise good luck, yet sadly in reality some are not so lucky. RSPCA centres find they have black and black and white cats waiting that little bit longer to be rehomed compared with some cats with other coat colours. We would urge people to look beyond an animal’s appearance. Their coat colour makes no difference to how much love they have to give. Black cats can make lovely family pets. There are many in our care ready for their new home and we would love to hear from anyone who is willing to give them a new life.
