Gwynedd Council’s Strategic Plan
Gwynedd Council has adopted its Strategic Plan for the coming year, as part of the annual review of the 2013-17 Strategic Plan.
The purpose of the plan is to set out the Council’s priorities and vision and to describe what the Council will be doing to achieve them.
The Strategic Plan includes 16 goals within seven broader areas – these are the matters the Council will be focusing on over the period of the plan as part of the vision to ensure the best for the people of Gwynedd in a difficult time.
Councillor Dyfed Edwards, Gwynedd Council Leader, said:
“The Strategic Plan describes the difference the Council wishes to make by 2017 and explains how the Council will measure the effect of its work over the four years.
“The areas within the plan are varied – from the economy, to education and ensuring the best care for our most vulnerable adults and children. Ensuring that our communities are safe and that the Welsh language gets a fitting place within society is crucial too.
“I welcome this development – it’s vital that the Council continues to concentrate on these important areas, despite the difficult financial situation we are facing.”
