Appeal Following Assault In Bangor

North Wales Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in Glanrafon Hill, Bangor on Sunday 10th April 2016. DC Gwyn Williams at Caernarfon CID said “At about 12.30am during the early hours of Sunday 10th April a 29 year old local man was walking his dog in the Glanrafon Hill area of Bangor when he was attacked by a man with whom he had just engaged in conversation. Injuries sustained are serious but not life threatening or changing. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“The assailant is described as a white male in his early 40’s with dark hair and wearing grey tracksuit bottoms with a blue stripe down the leg and a white top. Moments before the attack the victim was talking to a group of students on Glanrafon Hill who were playing with the man’s dog. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“They are likely to have witnessed the attack and so I’d like them to come forward and assist our investigation. I’d also appeal to anyone else who was in the area at the time or who knows anything about the assault to contact Police and help us piece together exactly what took place.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
