Investigating Officer PC Lou Williams of the Eastern Roads Policing Unit said “At about 3.40pm on Tuesday 21st February 2017 a black Audi estate car was seen attempting to ‘hook up’ a trailer and road roller that had been left by workmen in a layby on the A483 at Wrexham. One of the workmen happened to be passing at the time and thwarted the would-be thieves but at the expense of having his own vehicle damaged as the Audi and occupants made good their escape, minus the trailer and load, further sound bound along the A483” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

North Wales Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed events, particularly as it may have been recorded on ‘dash-cam’, to contact the control room direct via the web live chat. Alternatively phone 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote RC 1702 4914. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
