Appeal Following Fatal Collision Near Corwen
A man has died and another man has been seriously injured following a road traffic collision near Corwen yesterday evening (Wednesday 16th March).
Shortly after 5:30pm police were informed of a two vehicle collision on the A5104 in Bryneglwys involving a grey Citroen C3, which was travelling from the Corwen direction and a red Nissan van which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Fire and Ambulance attended the scene as well as North Wales Police’ Collision Investigation Unit and the road was closed whilst a full forensic collision investigation took place.
The driver of the Nissan van was taken to hospital in Stoke where he sadly died.
The driver of the Citroen was also transferred to hospital in Stoke where he remains with serious injuries.
A passenger from the Nissan was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital and the passenger from the Citroen was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd with what is believed to be minor injuries.
Sergeant Raymond Williams from the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have information that could assist our investigation to come forward.”
The road re-opened shortly after 11pm.

Police are not yet in a position to release details of the deceased.
