Appeal following fatal road traffic collision near Pentrefoelas

North Wales Police are appeaing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on Saturday 27th February 2016 which tragically claimed the life of a woman in her 40s ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The collision took place shortly before 15:45hrs on the A543 near Pentrefoelas and involved a silver Renault Clio and a black Mercedes SLK. Sadly the female passenger from the Mercedes died at the scene. Her next of kin and HM Coroner have been informed. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The two male drivers one in his 20s and the other in his 40s involved in the collision have been conveyed to Stoke hospital with serious life changing injuries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Investigating Officer Sergeant Jane Thomas of the Roads Policing Unit said: “ A full investigation is underway and I’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
