Appeal Following Mochdre Assault
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Mochdre late yesterday afternoon.
The man was stabbed a number of times following an altercation involving several people. The incident happened on the junction of Ffordd Euryn and Ffordd Y Maer in Mochdre at around 5.15pm yesterday, Monday 13th March.
Detective Inspector Chris Bell said: “The victim remains in Ysbyty Gwynedd, but fortunately the injuries are not life threatening or life changing.”
A local male was arrested on suspicion of assault and he remains in custody.
Insp Bell added: “This was not a random attack; it was an altercation involving several people who were all known to each other. Our inquiries will continue throughout the day and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the incident between 5pm and 5.30pm yesterday.”
