Appeal Following Two Serious Collisions
Police are appealing for witnesses following two serious road traffic collisions which occurred yesterday afternoon (Sunday, April 17).
The first collision occurred at approximately 13:50hrs outside the Siabod Café on the A5 at Capel Curig involving four vehicles – two cars, a van and a motorcycle.
As a result of the collision the motorcyclist, a man in his 50’s and from the Wrexham area, was airlifted to hospital in Stoke with serious life threatening injuries.
The second collision occurred a short while later at 15:30hrs in Maentwrog, Blaenau Ffestiniog which involved a motorcycle.
The male rider, who is in his 30’s and from the Cheshire area, was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with serious leg injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to both collisions and anybody with information is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, or via the live web chat.
