Appeal To Trace Suspicious Man Who Approached Child

North Wales Police are appealing for information after a man approached a young girl in Mynydd Isa Flintshire. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The incident happened at around 3.45pm yesterday Wednesday March 16 when a 10 year old girl was walking past a bus stop on Park Avenue. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

She was approached by a man in his 40’s who put his hand on her shoulder and asked her to go with him. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Inspector Jonathan Bowcott said; “The child shouted for help and ran away un-harmed. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“The suspect is described as white with a pale complexion, approximately 40 years old, 5ft 7 ins tall and of medium build. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“He was wearing a cream jumper over a blue top, black shoes and had a gold ring on one of his hands. He was also carrying an orange plastic bag crunched into a ball. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“I would ask anyone with information or who may have seen a male matching the description in the area of Park Avenue, Mynydd Isa to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting event reference RC16038076.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
