Attendees at a recent ‘Police Surgery’ in Benllech had a seasonal surprise this week (19th December) when staff from the local Spar Store and North Wales Police Safer Neighbourhood Team hosted a Christmas Party at the Waun Dirion Community Room in Benllech. A number of local residents were entertained by local youths from the ‘Cor Plant Mathafarn’ with festive songs and carols as they enjoyed a ‘paned’, cake and other treats. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Local PCSO Iona Beckman said “Local Police community surgeries are held at regular intervals to listen and address concerns in the neighbourhood and following some recent success in reducing ASB we thought we’d combine a surgery and Christmas party and invite a local choir to celebrate. As usual it was a fruitful meeting but on this occasion mixed with a little festive spirit and cheer and an opportunity for us to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New Year.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Surgeries in south Anglesey are held at regular intervals and gives the Police, local Housing and Councillors a chance to immediately address concerns and so I’d encourage residents to come along and share their concerns in an informal setting and over a free ‘paned’ and very often cake too!” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
