Collision In Prestatyn: Appeal

A cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a car in Prestatyn earlier this morning (Friday, April 15). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Shortly after 06:30 police received a report of a collision between a bicycle and a Renault Megane outside the Fire Station on Marine Road. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The road was immediately closed and an ambulance attended and took the cyclist to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan. It is believed he has sustained serious injuries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number U053666. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
