Fatal Collision In Abergele
A woman has died following a road traffic collision in Abergele this afternoon (Thursday, March 2nd).
At 15:21 North Wales Police were informed of a collision on the junction of Water Street and Bridge Street involving a pedestrian, an articulated low loader HGV and two cars.
Sadly, the female pedestrian, who is in her 60’s, died at the scene.
Emergency Services are currently in attendance and the road is likely to remain closed for several hours.
Sergeant Jason Diamond from the Roads Policing Unit said: “Sadly this is a fatal road traffic collision investigation and the road is likely to be closed for several hours. We are advising motorists to avoid the centre of Abergele and use alternative routes.
“We are also appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision to contact us.”
