Fatal Collision In Llandudno

Police can confirm that a man has died following a road traffic collision which happened in Llandudno last weekend. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Shortly before 00:30 on Saturday, October 1st police were called to a two-vehicle collision on Clarence Road, near to the junction of Mostyn Avenue in Craig-y-Don. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The collision involved a grey Citroen ZX and a white Dacia Logan. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The emergency services were called to the scene and two men, driver and passenger of the Citroen, were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance. The passenger received minor injuries however the driver was transferred to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries. Sadly he passed away on October 5th. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The 21-year-old man was from the Tenbury Wells area of Worcestershire. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Police are appealing for witnesses and anybody who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number U149378. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
