Internet Safety Evening Being Held In Pwllheli
Do you know who your child is communicating with online? Are you aware of the latest threats that social media and messaging apps can bring?
The North Wales Police Cyber Crime Team, in conjunction with the All Wales School Liaison Programme, are holding an internet safety evening at Ysgol Botwnnog, Pwllheli on Wednesday, September 28th at 6pm.
School Community Police Officer PC Dewi Owen will be in attendance and will be joined by Detective Constable Nicholas Hawe from the Force Cyber Crime Unit to give a presentation about Cyber Crime and be available to give advice and guidance on any issues relating to internet safety.
School Community Police Officer, PC Dewi Owen said: “As School Community Police Officers we already deliver a number of important Internet Safety lessons to children aged 5 to 16 as part of the All Wales School Liaison programme. However we also want to help parents to keep themselves and their family safe online.
“Parents need to be aware of the latest threats that social media and messaging apps can bring in order to make sure that their children stay safe online.
“Everybody is welcome to attend to learn all the latest information from the experts that will help keep you and the whole family safe online.”
