Man Charged With Wounding In Bangor

At 11.40pm on Thursday 5th January, North Wales Police were informed that a 53-year-old homeless man had been stabbed whilst sleeping rough in the archway near to the Castle Public House in Bangor. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A 26-year-old local male was quickly arrested in connection with the incident ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Following police enquiries, 26-year-old Matthew Roberts was charged with wounding and possession of a knife. He appeared before Llandudno Magistrates Court this morning, where he was further remanded to prison until February. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
