Man Seriously Assaulted In Prestatyn: Appeal

An appeal for witnesses and information is being made after a man was seriously assaulted in Prestatyn last weekend. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Between 8:20pm and 8:30pm on Saturday, April 9, the 35-year-old male victim was walking along Central Avenue towards the town centre when he was approached from behind by a man. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He was the attacked with what appeared to be a roof tile. He later received several stitches to his face. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The offender is described as being white, aged in his early 20’s and had very short dark hair. He was wearing a grey or white coloured hoody and tracksuit bottoms. He left the area in a light blue coloured Toyota Yaris which travelled along Central Avenue and then turned right up Ffordd Penwylfa. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

PC James Lloyd said: “This appears to have been a pre-planned attack which has left a man with serious facial injuries. I am appealing to anybody who may have information, or to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to contact us immediately.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
