Second Person Dies Following Collision Near Pentrefoelas
North Wales Police can confirm that a second person has died following a collision on the A543 near Pentrefoelas last month.
At 15:45 on Saturday 27th February, police received a report by the Ambulance Service of a two-vehicle collision on the A543 involving a silver coloured Renault Clio and a black Mercedes SLK.
The female passenger, who was travelling in the Mercedes, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men were also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Sadly, the driver of the Mercedes, who was aged in his 40’s, died at hospital in Stoke earlier today (Wednesday 30th March).
The driver of the Renault Clio has since been discharged from hospital.
Enquiries are ongoing and police continue to appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or to anybody who may have seen either vehicle being driven prior to the collision to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number U028608.
