Spreading The Community Safety Message In Mold
Officers in Mold have been spreading the community safety message at special sessions facilitated by a local hospital.
Since Christmas PCSO Kelsey Evans and colleague PC Hazel Goss have delivered four crime prevention and personal safety talks to members of support groups in Mold Community Hospital, offering advice on home security, doorstep crime, rogue traders, personal safety and nuisance phone calls.
PCSO Evans said; “Last year Sister Angela Parker contacted our department to come and talk to some vulnerable groups. So far we have been on hand to advise the Parkinson’s support group, the Palliative Care Group and the early on-set memory problem group.
“As well as offering advice, we have issued personal alarms, timer switches and purse bells and cables.
“It has been a rewarding experience for us and the hospital says it has had some excellent feedback from the groups and members of staff.”
