Three Charged Following Old Colwyn Murder

The following is an update regarding the murder of David Kingsbury in Old Colwyn on Thursday, January 5th: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

30-year-old Dean Joseph Cody from Old Colwyn has tonight been charged with the murder of 35-year-old David James Kingsbury. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Colin David Lyness, 30, and Thomas Charles Revatto, 50, both from the Old Colwyn area, have been charged with assisting an offender. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

All three will be appearing before Llandudno Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Thursday, January 12th). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Detective Inspector Arwyn Jones said: “I would like to thank the public for their support and the valuable information they have provided since the investigation was launched on Thursday 5th January. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“We are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information relating to the incident, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, to come forward.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Anyone who may have been in the Abergele Road and Wellington Road areas of Old Colwyn between 8.30pm and 9pm on Thursday 5th January is asked to call the police on 101 quoting reference V002232. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
