Two Arrested For Drug Offences On Anglesey
Two men are currently in police custody after being arrested following a routine stop during a road safety operation on Anglesey today (Wednesday, May 11th).
Shortly before 1:30pm an officer from the Commercial Vehicle Unit, which is attached to the Roads Policing Unit, stopped a vehicle on the A5 at Bodedern.
The driver was found to be driving with no licence, no insurance, no tax and no MOT.
His two passengers were discovered with a quantity of drugs, believed to be cannabis, and they have both been arrested.
The 19 and 24-year-old men have both been arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. Both remain in police custody.
The 24-year-old male driver has been reported for the driving offences and the vehicle was seized at the roadside.
