Update Following Serious Collision Near Bangor

Police can confirm that a woman, local to the Anglesey area, has sadly died as a result of the collision on the B4547 at Pentir near Bangor, this afternoon. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision, which happened at around 12.46pm today, Friday 23rd September, involving a white BMW car and a VW transporter van. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

It is believed that an item fell from the roof of the transporter and collided with the BMW travelling in the opposite direction. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The transporter was travelling from the Groeslon Ty Mawr roundabout in the direction of Felinheli. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
