Insp Kelly Isaacs has taken up the reins from T/ Insp Emma Naughton, having moved from her role as Detective Inspector in the Western area of the force. The new post sees her heading the local policing teams which covers the Conwy, Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay, Colwyn Bay, Penmaenmawr and surrounding areas. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Living in West Conwy, the area is familiar to Insp Isaacs who also brings with her a wealth of experience. Having started out as a PC in Rhyl some 15 years ago, she has enjoyed a wide and varied career. This has included leading the Amethyst team which went on to receive a Chief’s Commendation for its work. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Speaking from her base at the temporary police station on Argyll Street in Llandudno, Insp Isaacs said: “I have been lucky enough to have policing experience right across the board and force area – from a serving as a Community Beat Manager in the Maes Geirchen area of Bangor to working in PublicProtection and Professional Standards. Much of my career has been spent in CID however I believe the skills gained can be applied to all areas of policing and hopefully will also prove of benefit to the local community.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Since starting in the new role I have been busy meeting local representatives and members of the community. I’m eager to build on the good work that has already been undertaken and continue to work with all our partners – who include members of the local community.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“I am also keen to further improve the standards of investigation and see the local officers continue to engage with local residents and visitors so that we can better understand any issues that may be causing concern and also encourage community engagement.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
