Wrexham Man Charged With Robbery

Ben Brown, 26, of Ridley View, Wrexham, has this evening been charged with offences of robbery, attempt robbery and burglary dwelling. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Two others, a woman and a man, who were in custody for assisting an offender to evade arrest, have been bailed pending further enquires. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Another female arrested earlier today has been charged with a public order offence and will appear before Wrexham Magistrates Court on 6th March. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Det Chief Insp Neil Harrison said: “These offences are serious and in recent weeks have caused a great deal of distress within the communities of Wrexham.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He added: “We are extremely grateful to the people of Wrexham for all their help over the past few weeks and I would ask that the public remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious circumstances to the police.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Brown has been remanded in custody and will appear before Wrexham Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Monday 20th February. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
